THE BASICS
Model UN is a stimulation of real-world decision making bodies. In Model UN, delegates assume the position of a county or person, and work with other delegates to address a pressing issue.
A position paper is a document written before the conference outlining your countries position, background on the issues impact on your position, and potential solutions. It should also contain a works cited page.
WeMUN does not have a strict format for position papers. We recommend that all position papers are double spaced, Times New Roman, and have one page per topic. We also ask that all position papers have a Works Cited page.
Please note that failure to submit a position paper or plagiarism may also disqualify a delegation for individual and school awards.
To submit your position papers, please email your chairs the day before or on the conference.
